Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Leones made 7 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was power forward Kerry Richardson (202-1999, college: Morehouse) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Reggie Quezada (190, college: USAO) chipped in 16 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. Center Corey Boyd (206-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Leones maintains eighth place with 2-6 record. Caneros at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They stay at the bottom place with six games lost. Marineros will meet Titanes (#5) in the next round. Soles will play against the league's second-placed Metros (#2) and hope to win that game.
